Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia, Life Center of Galax offers outstanding programming that has proven effectiveness in helping adult patients grappling with chemical dependency and/or dual diagnosis achieve recovery success. The staff at Life Center of Galax is trained and experienced in treating chemical dependency, along with the psychological complications that can present themselves through co-occurring mental health concerns. Placing individualized care plans into effect, the Life Center of Galax team provides treatment for the following addictions: Alcohol Synthetic marijuana Cocaine Prescription drugs Inhalants Opioids Meth Marijuana PCP Heroin Stimulants Benzodiazepines As part of a mission to provide evidence-based treatments and high-quality clinical care, Life Center of Galax offers residential programming, outpatient programming, and detoxification services. Additionally, specialized treatment tracks are available, including the following: Military services Christian-focused Opioid dependency Wolf Edge program for men Gender-specific programming Life Center of Galax adopts a comprehensive approach to care for all patients that includes the utilization of specific evidence-based therapies that are designed to stimulate positive change. These treatment modalities include group building, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, family therapy, and experiential therapy.
