At Lifeworks, we envision a world where disability inclusion is the standard. This is why we support the U.S. Department of Labor’s proposed rule to phase out Section 14(c) of the Fair Labor Standards Act, which has allowed employers to pay workers with disabilities subminimum wages. Lifeworks stopped providing subminimum wage employment opportunities for people with disabilities in 2017. We believe all people with disabilities should be paid fair wages and that businesses should invest in hiring people with disabilities to create more diverse and engaged workforces.
