At the 17th annual von Vraum Space Exploration Symposium, a Liquid Rocketry at Illinois delegation composed of Demir Can ERKIRALP, Alec Wojcik, Nathan Hutcherson, Amruth Seetharaman, Ke Jiang, and Eli B. presented a poster detailing the team's work on simulating regeneratively cooled combustion chambers for rocket engines, titled: LiBREX: A Comprehensive Multiphysics Approach to Rocket Engine Thermal Simulations. Liquid Rocketry at Illinois had a fantastic weekend at the 17th annual von Braum Space Exploration Symposium held at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. The event focused on expanding space enterprise, which our delegation contributed to via poster presentation. We had the pleasure of meeting like-minded peers and other collegiate rocketry teams- such as the UAH Liquid Rocketry team, Tartarus. LRI is looking for engineers who work with CFD to speak at our event! We are planning a CFD learning weekend (Nov 16-17th) for UIUC students and wanted to include a section where industry professionals would zoom in for 20 minutes and discuss how they use CFD and why its important.
