Great day representing Little Friends, Inc. while connecting with 8th graders at the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Career Motiv8 Day! I was impressed with the amount of students that were interested in how they can pursue careers supporting folks with disabilities! I am grateful to be a part of a community that shares the importance of nonprofits and supporting vulnerable communities with the next generation! Also a great blast from my personal past - connecting with educators that inspired me to get to where I am today! #elevate203 #careerdiscovery #careermotiv8

Thank you, DuPage County and DuPage Foundation, for the generous grant Little Friends, Inc. received from the DuPage Community Transformation Partnership! This Transformational grant is pivotal in establishing our much-needed behavioral health center in collaboration with Grow Wellness Foundation. This behavioral health center is set to offer a comprehensive array of mental health support resources, including individual therapy, social skills groups, family counseling, and family support groups specific to the unique needs of those we serve with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their families. Research from the National Institute of Mental Health underscores the critical importance of accessible mental health services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, as it correlates with improved mental health outcomes and an enhanced quality of life. Little Friends looks forward to the opportunity to provide invaluable resources that will significantly impact mental health and leave a lasting impression on the individuals and families we are dedicated to serving and, in the future, to our larger community #communitypartners
