On this THANKFUL THURSDAY, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters who believe in Turning Pointe's mission. You are making a difference in the lives of our students and families navigating the autism journey.

We're thrilled to share some exciting news! Billy achieved a major milestone: Billy accepted a job with a corporate partner! This accomplishment is a testament to Billy’s hard work and dedication. The support of his Turning Pointe team, his family, and his new team at work has been instrumental in helping him reach this point. He then decided he wanted to learn a new skill, how to Uber.  This would help him become more independent in getting himself to work.  He uses this skill to meet with his friends for social gatherings and events.   We're so proud of Billy and grateful for your continued support of adult employment programs.

Remember Billy? With support, Billy decided to make significant strides. The Turning Pointe team helped Billy overcome some anxiety by working with him on his resume and job interview skills. Billy’s wonderful personality came through in practice interviews with corporate partners. One partner identified Billy as a perfect fit for them, and they decided to explore an employment opportunity through these practice interviews.  Our corporate partners' generosity of time in holding practice interviews can empower adults like Billy to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. Meet Billy, a remarkable young man with autism who has overcome significant challenges. Before coming to one of Turning Pointe's Employment Programs, he faced obstacles in daily life that kept him from finding consistent work. He was not interested in getting a job or an interview, he was unsure what type of work he would be looking for, and he was comfortable in his family's home with their support. Billy’s family knew they could not always be there for him and they wanted Billy to find an interest, and maybe the interest would become day-to-day work. Billy embarked on a journey of growth and development. Through our Employment Programs, he gained valuable skills and confidence. Stay tuned for more updates on Billy's journey.
