Yesterday in NYC, our EVP Yvonne Van Der Laan joined industry leaders in a thought-provoking panel hosted by Société de Chimie Industrielle. The panel explored the pressing market and societal trends driving demand for recyclable and renewable-based plastics. Yvonne emphasized the critical need for scalable technologies and innovative business models to meet customer needs while focusing on sustainable value creation. “We want to ensure that hard-to-recycle mixed plastic waste is truly diverted from incineration and landfill. That is why we are investing in the future of our MoReTec technology as we scale it. We had the foundation-laying ceremony for our first commercial-scale MoReTec unit in September with German Chancellor Scholz. Our first single-train MoReTec-1 unit will have a 50KTA capacity, representing the plastic waste of the annual consumption of 1.2 million German citizens. We are also studying the development of a second MoReTec unit with double the capacity for our Houston facility.” #PlasticsIndustry #Circularity #AdvancedRecycling

Together with our partners, we've just made a final investment decision to proceed with a second Cyclyx Circularity Center in Fort Worth, Texas! This milestone represents a step forward in expanding the U.S. plastic recycling infrastructure and supports a circular economy for plastics. This new facility is expected to produce approximately 300 million pounds of plastic waste feedstock each year for mechanical and advanced recycling.
