This past weekend Made Concepts had the pleasure of joining Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts for its annual holiday event of bringing children and their matches a day of fun. It was rewarding to see all of these matches gather together and stop by our table to learn about the toy making process. Our table demonstrated the creativity element when it comes to designing and producing products such as, Legends of OM, while incorporating fun and innovation with a crafts section. Children and their matches were able to design their own “OMs” encouraging them to turn their dreams into reality, while learning that they are capable of anything they set their minds to. The children and their matches were also able to ask Made Concepts creators Frank Kautzman and Steve Linker about the toy making process and hear about the valuable experiences they were able to share. A special thank you to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts and Nicole Cronin for connecting with us and allowing us to participate at this event. This collaboration also would not have been possible without the help of the PRLab at Boston University team: Marie Atie, Eleina Perez, Jingyu Wang, and Leila Hedayat who came to support Made Concepts at the event. It was truly an inspiration to see the smiles on the faces of these children who were able to further bond with their matches at our table, and at Made Concepts we will aim to continue bringing these smiles to all children.

We had so much fun at #IDEACON 2024!
Had a fantastic experience at #IDEACon this past Saturday, representing Made Concepts! Our table was buzzing with energy as we showcased our services, shared examples of our work, and hosted speed mentoring sessions with aspiring innovators. Some highlights from the day: 🚀 Engaged with students from a variety of universities, each with unique and inspiring ideas. It’s always refreshing to see the next generation of thinkers and creators pushing boundaries. 🤝 Connected with fellow founders who share our vision of innovation, including: Popple - The college student focused app for real world connections. Public Kitchen - A creativity lab designed to foster community engagement through food by reimagining kitchen space as public infrastructure. Striide - A navigation tool empowering women with safety insights to foster independence and confidence while walking alone. 💡 Our speed mentoring sessions were a hit! Seeing the excitement in students’ eyes as we brainstormed their ideas together was a reminder of why we do what we do at Made Concepts – turning innovative ideas into products that resonate. A huge thank you to Marie Atie , Eleina Perez, Jingyu Wang, and Leila Hedayat from PRLab at Boston University for setting this up, and to Javonty Hunter and the Innovate@BU team for hosting such a fantastic event. The energy, passion, and drive from the entire community made this an unforgettable experience. Looking forward to seeing how these bright minds shape the future of innovation! #innovation #mentorship #startupcommunity #ideacon #MadeConcepts #futureofinnovation #toyindustry #productdesign #entrepreneurship #startup Steve Linker Danielle Motta Remi Chester Prianna Sharan Andrea Catania Nidhi Chaitra-Girish
