Overcoming Challenges with MSM Tools: The lessons learned in our Life Empowerment classes have been invaluable: “The things I learned from Main Street Ministries, I really appreciate it. Giving us those tools to approach everyday problems, and learn about setting goals, it’s all helped. When an issue comes up, I sit down, take a breath, don’t give up, and walk through the problem step by step. I use my resources, and I keep on pushing.” Tyson celebrated five years of sobriety on November 18th, and shared his gratitude: “I’m still sober today. I wake up and pray every morning and thank God for my blessings. Bless MSM and the things that you all do.” I’m holding down two jobs now and trying to increase our income and savings. I also got my CDL and a TWIC card recently, for working at the port or ship channel.” We’re all healthy and living life. We’re thinking about buying a house when our apartment lease is up, but we’re still researching. It’s hard to find somewhere you can afford in/around Houston. We’re enjoying life though – I’m doing more stuff than I’ve ever done before.” Your Impact: Stories like this are made possible through your generous support.
