About us
Management Sciences for Health (MSH) works shoulder-to-shoulder with countries and communities to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by building strong, resilient, sustainable health systems. Together, we seek to achieve universal health coverage—equitable, affordable access to high-quality health services for all who need them—even in fragile, post-crisis settings. For 50 years across 150 countries, MSH has partnered with governments, civil society, the private sector, and thousands of health workers on locally-led solutions that expand access to medicines and services, improve quality of care, help prevent and control epidemics, support inspiring leadership and transparent governance, and foster informed, empowered, and healthier communities. As we embark on 2025, USAID's MTaPS Program reflects on its role as a trusted partner in building the foundation for success in global health. Through its regulatory systems strengthening work, the #USAID Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program has been supporting supply chain security and reducing the prevalence of substandard and falsified (#SF) medical products. By improving pre- and post-registration activities and strengthening #reliance and #harmonization efforts across the world, MTaPS is protecting patient safety, improving treatment outcomes, and combatting drug resistance. MTaPS is proud to have achieved the following milestones: 📋 Streamlined product registration in #Rwanda 🔎 Built capacity for regulatory inspection in #Bangladesh 🌐 Established clinical trials oversight mechanisms in #Nepal 💊 Enabled market surveillance of medicines in #Mozambique 💉 Strengthened pharmacovigilance (#PV) systems worldwide Coupled with MTaPS' regional reliance and harmonization initiatives across #Africa and #Asia, driving greater efficiency and effectiveness of national regulatory authorities (#NRAs), MTaPS is paving the way for more robust regulatory systems.
