Celebrate our 40th Anniversary with our Top 40 Series! Below check out the "Top 40 Amazing Statistics on American Manufacturing." #MAGNETtop40 #ForgingTheFuture #ManufacturingSuccess #Manufacturing
MAGNET TOP 40 SERIES Since we're turning 40 and celebrating MAGNET's birth back in 1984, (the days of the legendary Casey Kasem American Top 40 countdown), we're celebrating with our very own Top 40 series. Today, we're sharing MAGNET's "Top 40 Amazing Statistics on American Manufacturing." Make sure to screen shot or save because if you're in manufacturing you're going to want these statistics at your fingertips. A few of my favorites: ⚫ If U.S. manufacturing were an economy, it would be the seventh largest in the world. ⚫Manufacturing supports 25% of America’s workforce through direct and indirect employment. ⚫Manufacturing has been awarded more patents than any other industry. ⚫Adopting AI in manufacturing is forecasted to create $3.8 trillion in growth by 2035. ⚫By 2025, 90% of manufacturing jobs will require digital skills. Sometimes in the flurry of day-to-day production we forget the incredible contribution our industry makes to our region and our country. I hope you take a few minutes to watch this video and celebrate the power and pride of manufacturing! Follow hashtag #MAGNETtop40 so you don't miss our future Top 40 lists as we count down the leaders, lessons, breakthroughs, and stories that define our industry and shape our future. #smartmanufacturing #northeastohio #manufacturinginnovation #manufacturingtalent #mfg MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network

Dr. Ethan Karp's latest Forbes article dives into technology and what makes sense for small manufacturers. Check out his insight below!
When we talk to manufacturers, particularly smaller ones say fear of making an expensive mistake often prevents them from investing in Industry 4.0. It's a valid fear. One third of all software spending goes to waste! The problem is, every day manufacturers stay stuck in decision paralysis, they fall further behind. In my latest Forbes column, I explore three ways small manufacturers can avoid technology mistakes, invest with confidence, and accelerate the factory of the future. #smartmanufacturing #futurefactory #industry40 #digitalmanufacturing MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network https://lnkd.in/d3fxik2q
