Over the weekend, Marbles celebrated the grand opening of our newly renovated courtyard, the Marbles Playway! The transformed outdoor play space features pollinator themed climbers, vibrant shade structures and expanded greenspace. A special thank you to The Jandy Ammons Foundation, Burt's Bees Foundation, McAdams, Barnhill Contracting Company, Clearscapes, PA and Wake County. Over the weekend, community partners joined us at the museum for hands-on play during Marbles Kids Code. This event continues to spark curiosity and excitement about coding, computer science and technology for guests of all ages. Marbles Imagination Ball 2024 was an enchanted evening of record-breaking giving! Thanks to the generosity of our community, $266,502 was raised to fuel access programs that give every child the chance to imagine, discover, learn and play at Marbles. Marbles continues to be a community resource because of the generous support from sponsors, partners and donors. Thank you to everyone who helps us ensure that ALL kids in our community have access to play.

Marbles is honored to receive the Roy L. Shafer Leading Edge Award, alongside other influential members of the Association of Science and Technology Centers. These awards recognize extraordinary accomplishments that enhance the performance of organizations while also significantly advancing and inspiring the entire field. Under the Waves, our sensory exploration exhibit, was recognized for its attention to detail, providing sensory friendly features and accommodations to children of all abilities.
