Marlow's latest analysis examines how US President-elect Donald Trump's proposed trade policies could reshape global trade in 2025 and beyond. We explore planned tariffs and their potential impact, likely responses from trading partners, key sectors at risk, and strategic considerations for businesses. All signs point to a more fragmented and unpredictable environment for global trade ahead. For investors and exporters, scenario planning, policy tracking and consistent stakeholder engagement will be crucial for navigating potential disruptions and diversifying risk. We're pleased to have led a new market assessment, which examines the opportunities for greening energy transition value chains in sub-Saharan Africa. Our analysis was commissioned by the Investment Mobilisation Collaboration Alliance (IMCA), a new platform for mobilising large-scale private finance for climate initiatives in emerging markets and developing countries. #IMCA was launched by the US and Nordic governments in partnership with the World Climate Foundation. Our report identifies opportunities and strategies to advance the transition on the continent while building sustainable local industries, creating skilled jobs, and strengthening regional manufacturing capabilities. With many thanks to Consulting for Sustainable Solutions and Olimpia Pilch for collaborating with us on this.
