It was simple to use: 1) Operated a browser: typed, clicked, and scrolled. 2) Displayed actions live on a miniature screen. 3) Completed tasks, and saved them for reuse.     I wasted 6+ months on unqualified calls... Don’t make my mistake. Here are 4 steps to protect your calendar: 1. Know your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) If you don’t know exactly who you’re targeting. You’ll waste hours on unqualified leads. Ask yourself: - Who can actually buy my service? - What’s their role, company size, and industry? If you haven’t defined this, stop reading and go do it. 2. Use Sales Navigator (properly) LinkedIn is a goldmine if you filter right. Check every prospect against your ICP. No exceptions... 3. Don’t share an open booking link A booking link without a filter is asking for trouble. Here’s what happens: - People without budget book calls. - People with no buying intent “pick your brain.” How to fix it: ☑ Add qualification questions. ☑ Make your link harder to find. (Only share it with genuinely interested leads.) Your time isn’t free... Treat it like the limited resource it is. 4. Top-of-funnel strategy matters LinkedIn is not the place to sell on day one. Instead: 1) Share resources. 2) Offer value upfront. 3) Let prospects come to you. If they’re a good fit, they’ll raise their hand. It took me too long to realise this.
