Last Friday, The Complex team volunteered with Raleigh City Farm – a downtown urban garden! Staff from Raleigh Convention Center, Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, and Red Hat Amphitheater spent their morning braving the heat to pull weeds, lay mulch, and do our part to help contribute to the farm’s goal “to make our community more food secure.” We also enjoyed a lovely tour and a beautiful surprise (last picture) to take home! Our deepest condolences go out to the Kennedy family on the news of the passing of K.D. Kennedy, Jr. His contributions to the arts community span across multiple organizations and he was pivotal in the construction of our performing arts center, including Kennedy Theatre. He will be deeply missed, though his legacy will continue to impact future generations. 💙

We are deeply saddened at the news of the passing of Dr. Assad Meymandi. A long-time Raleigh arts philanthropist, Dr. Meymandi was instrumental in establishing our beloved Meymandi Concert Hall. He will be greatly missed, though his legacy will continue to influence our community for years to come. 💙

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 This year we want to highlight our collaboration with the City of Raleigh Greenhouse team (John Emerson and Neal Wisenbaker) who provided us with 100 Angel Wing Begonia & Spider Plants. These plants were shared with clients in celebration of our one-year anniversary as the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts! What an amazing city to be part of! Partnering with the City of Raleigh's Greenhouse and Nursery allowed us to share a piece of our community with so many people. We wouldn't be able to grow without the support from all of you!
