Today, Maven announced a $125M Series F funding round. A decade into our journey, we’re deeply proud of the impact we’ve made on the lives of our members. But as exciting as this moment is, it’s also a reminder of all the work left to be done. Amidst growing healthcare costs, widening disparities in care, and ongoing challenges in access, the stakes have never been higher for the women and families who need us most. Now, with those stakes in mind, and with our member as our North Star, we’re kicking off the next decade of women’s and family health innovation. With this funding, we will deepen the support we provide to women and families during life’s biggest moments and keep striving toward our mission to make healthcare work for all of us. This story is a powerful reminder of why Maven exists: to provide compassionate care during life's most challenging and vulnerable moments. This Thanksgiving—and every day of the year—we're grateful for our members (and team members) who trust us to support them on the family-building journeys, for our providers who show up for our members when they need it most, and for our employees and partners who are with us on our mission to make healthcare work for all of us. Thank you for helping us build something better for women and families everywhere.

"In healthcare–and beyond–we’re barreling towards a new year that is fueled by a global mandate for change. Agendas are being reshaped. Coalitions are being redrawn. And in boardrooms and in living rooms this holiday season, diverging views on how to best move forward will be a prominent topic of conversation." During times of change, it can be hard to know how to get things done. In his latest issue of his newsletter, The Preprint, our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Neel Shah reflects on the people he’s spoken to this year who are unusually good at getting things done: ✨ Dr. Rachel Hardeman, Professor of Public Health at the University of Minnesota and Maven Visiting Scientist ✨ Dr. Dannagal Young, Professor of Communication at the University of DelawareAdaeze Enekwechi, CEO of Cayaba Care ✨ Christy Turlington, founder of Every Mother CountsElizabeth Carr, the first baby born from IVF in the U.S. ✨ Robin Marty, Executive Director of WAWC Healthcare (Formerly West Alabama Women’s Center) Learn why Neel says that each of these remarkable women, in their own way, has informed his optimistic view that healthcare is “as fixable as ever.” Read and subscribe to The Preprint here: https://lnkd.in/gnR9eT7S

For far too many mothers—and especially women of color—pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum leads to serious health complications. In fact, the U.S. has the highest maternal mortality rate of any affluent country in the world. Next Wednesday, December 4th at 3:00 pm ET, our founder & CEO Kate Ryder will join Gail K. Boudreaux, President & CEO of Elevance Health, and Latham Thomas, founder of Mama Glow, at Forbes Healthcare Summit to discuss how the healthcare industry can pave the way for safer pregnancies and childbirths, eliminate pregnancy-related health disparities, and create better medical outcomes for mothers and their babies. "Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is a true champion of innovation in the healthcare system. As early digital health adopters, they have long recognized the power of technology to meet women and families where they are." —Dr. Neel Shah, Chief Medical Officer, Maven Clinic In case you missed it: last week, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts announced that they have expanded their partnership with Maven to include menopause and midlife health support, ensuring that members can find care on the same platform throughout their entire reproductive lifecycle. Through Maven, BCBSMA members now have 24/7 access to menopause-trained specialists—including OB-GYNs, urologists, mental health providers, nutritionists, sex coaches, and career coaches—as well as prescription support, regular drop-in groups, and peer communities to help them thrive in midlife and beyond. "We clearly have a trust challenge as it pertains to healthcare. It's not the job of the people who need healthcare to be trusting—it's the job of the healthcare system to be trustworthy." On the latest episode of The Lost Debate podcast, our Chief Medical Officer Dr. Neel Shah shares how the right innovations can help restore trust between patients and providers—particularly for communities that have been historically underserved by status quo healthcare. Neel and host Ravi Gupta discuss: 💡 Why public trust in the system has declined 💡 Why rebuilding trust starts with meeting patients where they are 💡 How digital solutions are creating more consistent, reliable care experiences Listen here: https://lnkd.in/g7FWZBST #healthequity #digitalhealth #employeebenefits

Picture this: you're walking into a meeting, trying to focus on what you'll be sharing—and then suddenly, you're hit by an overwhelming wave of heat. Your heart races, and it feels like you've stepped into a sauna. Hot flashes like this are all too common for the 1 in 5 employees in the U.S. workforce who are navigating menopause. And they're just one of many symptoms affecting workplace performance: nearly half of employees in menopause say their symptoms affect their productivity on a weekly basis, and 20% say they're impacted daily. Proper menopause support can be game-changing at work. In fact, 1 in 3 members who met with a Maven OB-GYN reported reduced hot flashes, helping them manage their symptoms and thrive in their careers. Maven and March for Moms recently welcomed our MPact for Families fellows, Ttáwaxt Birth Justice Center and Iowa Black Doula Collective, to New York for a day of sharing, learning, and networking at Maven HQ. From going deeper on care model design to engaging in a meaningful discussion about community-based research with Maven’s Visiting Scientist and Scientific Advisor Board member, Dr. Rachel Hardeman, our workshops centered on opportunities to deepen and scale the impact these organizations are already making in their communities. Thanks to everyone who joined us for these thought-provoking conversations. Spending the day with such dedicated, inspiring maternal health leaders reinforced what we know to be true: transformative change happens when we come together. Menopause has long been treated as invisible in the workplace, but that's changing fast. Employees are destigmatizing menopause and demanding solutions—and leading employers are taking action. One company that understands the urgent need for support during this phase of life? Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. We're excited to share that we’ve expanded our partnership with BCBSMA to deliver comprehensive menopause benefits to their workforce and many employer partners, including 24/7 access to specialized menopause care, personalized educational resources, and community forums. With menopause-related productivity losses costing U.S. employers $1.8B annually, the business case for providing this support is clear. But the opportunity is even bigger: menopause is a critical window for long-term health, and the behavior changes employees make during midlife can shape their well-being for decades to come. Today marks the first day of Transgender Awareness Week, a time for listening, learning, and advancing advocacy around issues impacting the trans community. Research shows that 25–50% of transgender individuals are parents, with many more hoping to grow their families. Yet trans people often face significant barriers on the family-building journey, including healthcare discrimination, limited access to specialized providers, and incomplete or inaccurate information about their fertility options. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered as they set out on the family-building journey—regardless of their gender identity. Employers can play a powerful role in creating truly inclusive workplaces by ensuring their fertility benefits support every unique path to parenthood. This means: ➡️ Providing access to specialized gender-affirming care providers ➡️ Covering the costs of fertility preservation ➡️ Offering access to clinically-vetted educational content and communities of peers navigating similar journeys ➡️ Using inclusive language in benefits communications Learn more about how your organization can close gaps in care for trans employees: https://lnkd.in/gdwVD7YC #transawarenessweek #fertilitybenefits #healthequity
