We continue to provide the much appreciated support material, training opportunities for #MSCA NCPs and the scientific community and have new tasks to improve our services. MSCA-NET will end in February 2025, and RADIANCE is ready to kick off in spring. The new project will last for 3 years, coordinated by Euresearch with Work Package leaders APRE - Agenzia per la Promozione della Ricerca Europea, Rannís - The Icelandic Centre for Research, Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d, Xjenza Malta - a wonderful consortium of 20 Beneficiaries and 6 Associated Partners! Today I had the opportunity to share "Best practices of the MSCA ITN EJD ETUT project within the framework of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions #MSCA during "THE EU FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME FOR RESEARCH AND INNOVATION ‘HORIZON EUROPE’ - CURRENT CALLS FOR PROPOSALS AND PARTNERSHIPS IN THE AREA OF CLIMATE, ENERGY AND MOBILITY" organised by Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies and the National Contact Point for Climate, Energy and Mobility from Ukraine. Thanks Tetiana Serdiuk and Vladimir Havryliuk for inviting Frank Leferink and me for sharing our experience within #MSCA projects. Especially related to MSCA ITN EJD ETUT which links Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies via Joint or Double degrees with University of Twente and University of Nottingham but also to share University of Twente experience in other #MSCA projects such as #SCENT, MSCA EJD ITN ETOPIA, DN NEPIT and DN SMARTTEST. We touched upon the Why Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and Why ETUT Project was initiated. I shared some best practices and lesson learned we have obtained at University of Twente and the reason ensure to have skilled Research Managers and Administrators (#RMA's) working at all institutions. Showcasing also the different Phd Opportunities at University of Twente and in particular the #MSCA Projects of DN iSENSE, DN PATTERN and DN SMARTTEST with Tim Claeys, Anne Roc'h, Yang Miao I'm happy to have answered questions from the audience on collaboration possibilities between Europe and Ukraine. I had the honor of presenting a talk at the EARMA 3rd BESTPRAC conference in Lyon! Drawing from my experience as a project manager (and countless discussions with my peers), I shared my vision on fostering symbiosis among support staff and practical strategies for navigating the high turnover that characterises our profession. The presentations and discussions were truly enlightening. It was a pleasure to meet new peers and reconnect with members of the MCAA Research Management Working Group - some of whom I met in person for the first time!

📰 Marta Agostinho, EU-LIFE Executive Director, talked to Science Business about our recent report 'Insights & recommendations on the role of #ProjectManagers in collaborative #MSCA projects', published in collaboration with the Marie Curie Alumni Association and the MCAA Research Management Working Group ⬇️ 🎙️ “Project managers are not a burden; they are an added value. What we were trying to show is that they do more than complying and writing reports,” says Marta. “If we do not take care of these professionals, they will leave. These are very precarious jobs that require a high level of expertise.” She also stated that “it has to be very clear that this cannot come at the expense of removing funding from research. On the contrary, it's about how to leverage the resources for the common good.” #EuropeanResearch #ExcellentResearch
