We’ve partnered with the Los Angeles Community College District to modernize 40 buildings across nine campuses, bringing solar power and energy efficiency to the forefront of education. At #LAX, we helped establish a more sustainable utility plant, ensuring the airport operates with greater efficiency while meeting the demands of millions of travelers. With the transformation of the Los Angeles Metro E Line corridor, we saw firsthand how thoughtful transit design can inspire community revitalization, connecting neighborhoods and reducing pollution. These projects are more than construction—they’re commitments to LA’s future, each one building on the vision of a cleaner, more inclusive city. We’ve kicked off another exciting #K12 project! Construction has officially commenced on the K-12 Modernization Project at Neval Thomas Elementary School, in partnership with long-time clients and partners, the DC Department of General Services. The journey to project initiation begins long before construction starts. Before we even broke ground, we completed complex pre-construction and design phases requiring careful planning, precision and a tremendous amount of collaboration. Our team partnered with District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) and the Neval Thomas School Improvement Team (SIT) to develop and finalize concepts and schematics. From there, we worked with a team of landscapers, architects, the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE), the DC Office of Planning, the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, and several other collaborators and regulatory bodies to ensure our concepts are compliant, and meet the needs of the community. As the Assistant Project Manager, Monét Williams, PMP has been integral to each stage of this project, from pre-construction to design and now to initiating construction.
