Click here for details and to apply https://lnkd.in/gzt8BNR3 Read the feedback below from one of this year's mentees, Sara Bender "As I started 2024 in January planning my calendar, goals and development opportunities, I was really feeling like I needed a mentor, especially someone outside of my company. I was really looking for someone to be a sounding board to help me work through not just my day to day leadership challenges, but also help me think bigger about my future and career pathways. I was so grateful to get the email from MedtechWOMEN calling for participation in the mentorship program. It was as if they read my mind! The process was seamless. A simple application form with immediate follow up on next steps. I was matched with four potential stellar mentors and was able to meet virtually to see which one could be a match. I have to say, any of these women would have been an asset to have as a mentor. All four were very different with interesting and impressive backgrounds, but I chose my mentor, Shanthi Ramakrishnan, based on our similar career pathways and common experiences at similar companies. This year we’ve met every other month for an hour or so and were able to meet in person when I was on a business trip. To be honest, it’s been a lifesaver. I don’t think I realized how much I needed an outside perspective, especially a female one with extensive executive experience. Through our relationship I have gained more confidence in dealing with the Board and with my CEO. We’ve talked extensively about career positioning, outside resources to seek, and relationships to build. She’s also just been such a friend and amazing listener as I’ve shared many ups and downs with her over the year. As I reflect on 2024, this mentorship opportunity is one of my brightest highlights and has propelled me into new ways of thinking and has helped me explore opportunities that were previously not on my horizon. "Serving as a volunteer mentor always prompts a self-reflective question of "do I want to make a commitment again?" Quick answers surface: reciprocal generosity of mentors and mentees who share and alter perspectives, challenge assumptions and offer a sanctuary to hold difficult conversations, expand mindsets and unlock opportunities, reassure and cheer each other up, have fun, and profoundly impact life journeys, including career orchestration.    Yet, underneath, there is an unabashed joy, pride and reward of seeing a mentee succeed, overcome challenges with grace and determination, and address self-doubts. Observing a mental shift or a spark being lit, building personal connections and long-lasting relationships arouse confidence in the next set of women leaders. Most importantly, mentoring deepens my resolve to sustain this symbiotic cycle and help advance MedtechWOMEN's vision.   I had the privilege of getting to know Sara Bender through the mentoring program.
