I’ll never forget my time at a major retailer when the website crashed on Thanksgiving. It wasn’t just a technical issue — it meant no Thanksgiving for the eCommerce, product, engineering, paid media, and social teams scrambling to fix it. Here are my (and MikMak's) Cyber Five predictions for this year: 1️⃣ Flat sales volumes compared to last year 2️⃣ Meta remains the #1 source of referral traffic to retailers 3️⃣ TikTok will surpass Google in driving referral traffic to retailers 4️⃣ Walmart will keep its spot as the #1 retailer, outperforming Amazon To all the eCommerce, media, retailer, brand, agency, and tech professionals on the front lines this week — we see you.
