Pupils, staff and distinguished guests came together for our Call to Remembrance Service. All gathered together in front of the Gate of Honour for an address from the Head, Mr Benson, and a moment of silence after the Last Post was played.
The school community was also joined by members of the local community, who had come to pay their respects as they watched the proceedings from The Ridgeway.
The day concluded with a Service of Remembrance in the Chapel, beautifully delivered by different pupils and staff members.

Introducing our new brand film “Our Advice to You”. The film was designed to give genuine advice - from our very youngest Grimsdellians to our more ‘experienced’ Old Millhillians - to anyone about to start the adventure of life at our school. This film isn’t about our beautiful campus or our storied history—it’s about the voices of our community. It’s about the laughter, the support, and the friendships that make Mill Hill more than just a school. It is simply a chance to share what we - as a community - have learned through our time at school and beyond.
In creating this piece, we reached out to our community. The advice they shared is rich with wisdom, warmth, and a touch of humour. We heard about realising potential, exploring passions, and making every day count. We learned techniques for getting extra doughnuts and where the best sweeties are to be found. And we heard about asking for help, how it’s ok to have a bad day, and the incredible power of friendship. We heard Mill Hill speak in its own, authentic words both to those inside, and those about to join, our community.
This is the true value of a Mill Hill education. To be part of a community that cares about you, your wellbeing, and your future – now and for the rest of your life.
