ALERT | UPDATE: A Federal Judge has blocked DOL final rule on Increased FLSA exemption salary thresholds as previously detailed in our posts in April and July. Salary thresholds had increased in July of 2024 and were expected to jump again in January 2025. This block by Texas Federal Judge Sean Jordan of the Eastern District of Texas not only halts subsequent salary increases but also nullifies the increases made in July of this year. We couldn't let this week come to a close without a moment for this! What an incredible couple of days we had at the 10th Annual Golf Invitational and Ladies Par 3 Challenge! With blue skies all around at Grand National in Opelika, AL, we could not have asked for a more perfect day for golf, fellowship, and fundraising! We don’t have the final numbers just yet – but thanks to the generosity of our amazing sponsors and participants, we raised much-needed funds for three incredible organizations: Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, EB Research Partnership, and Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer.  A huge THANK YOU to our sponsors ( ECS Group of Companies, Lighting Associates, Inc., Gainesville Mechanical, Inc., OxBlue, Mingledorff's, Cox & Company, LLC, CWC Office Furniture, Contract Lumber, Inc., Miller & Martin PLLC, and Corgan) for your contributions and for making this event possible. Congratulations to our winner, Elise Bradley – we are all still in awe of your incredible skills!  The next day brought out the PINK! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we asked the Invitational participants to “Pink Out” the day, they did not disappoint! It was great to see so much support for an incredible cause. Thank you Kelston Promotional Services for your continued support for this event! Through research taken directly from White House affiliates, Antholis discussed how the current presidential system has become paradoxically more powerful and more prone to failure.
