  • #Mompreneur Samantha Hilliker Opens New #MinutemanPress #Franchise https://lnkd.in/eydBuAkK Meet Mompreneur Samantha Hilliker Prior to Minuteman Press in Grand Blanc, Samantha was a stay at home mom to help raise her 4 children. At the same time, she always wanted to own her own business. She says, “My college degree is in Business Administration and Robin’s degree is in Marketing. Before Starbucks was on every corner, I wrote a business plan to open a coffee shop and have never forgotten the feeling of letting a great opportunity go past me. I have dreamed of opening a business ever since.” Samantha continues, “I also dreamed of raising a family and once our first child arrived we decided I would be the stay at home parent. It has been my job and my priority for the better part of 21 years now. It has been, and will always be, my greatest accomplishment ever to raise my children.” At the same time, Samantha says, “While I was a stay at home mom, I used my seamstress skills (passed down from my mom and grandmother) to build a name for myself in our community offering alterations, making one-of-a-kind items and dance costumes. That’s why my social media channels were all SeeSamSew… and now they are SeeSamPrintandPromoteYOU!” “Studying business; running a household of 6 (now 7 since my father-in-law moved in with us a few years back); managing kids sports, dance and personal schedules; running a sewing business; and homeschooling our children for the past 5 years have all been a great training ground for now opening this business. I guess you could say I’m good at balancing many things at once. Two of our children are adults now and our youngest children are old enough to do most of their studies on their own so we felt like the time to jump on this opportunity was finally right.” --Samantha Hilliker, Owner, Minuteman Press, Grand Blanc, MI. • #MinutemanPress #Franchise Owner Josh Zeidman Joins President’s Club in Riverside, CA https://lnkd.in/eTuuNSdT Josh Zeidman is the owner of Minuteman Press in Riverside, CA since August of 2022. Josh spent five years working for startups as a director of operations before deciding to join the Minuteman Press family. He shares, “The owner of the shop was retiring. I was attracted to Minuteman Press for their presence and their industry knowledge. I’ve never been in printing before, so I wanted to make sure I worked with a brand that offered strong corporate support. And that’s what I got.” Josh continues, “The support from my local RVP Dan Byers (Southern California) and the entire Minuteman Press team across the board has really helped me learn the industry and run this business. I have found that I love the printing industry and being an owner allows me the opportunity to service my customers and impact their own businesses in valuable ways.” Two years later, Josh is proud to join the Minuteman Press President’s Club for achieving over $1 million in gross sales for the year ending 2023. He says, “This was one of the goals I set on Day 1. It is a major achievement and came faster than I could have imagined. I love a challenge and this was my first major challenge. And now, we will set again a higher goal.” Josh shares the following keys to his growth and success in such a short time: “--Be a one-stop shop – we simplify our customer’s lives --Find a way to ‘de-commoditize’ our commodity – we personalize, we uplift, we differentiate by being ourselves and by genuinely valuing our customers and their projects! --Never be satisfied – we hunt for new customers every day --Challenge the team to exceed what they think is possible – rising tides lift all ships --There are always ways to get more operationally sound – we are up almost 400% with the same number of team members!” Reflecting on the past two years as well as his success, Josh says, “I was never in printing but I was involved with commodities across various industries. I challenge myself to become the expert. I challenge myself to learn details of the process. Applying these skills from my previous career has really helped in addition to all of the support from Minuteman Press.” Josh concludes, “I love the opportunity to keep growing from here. It’s also nice to be able to bring my kids to work and have that family time. My advice to others is to challenge yourself every day and never stop moving forward!” Congrats Josh! • #Printing Impressions: New #MinutemanPress President's Club Members Celebrate Milestones, Share Advice https://lnkd.in/gx3yxEGY Minuteman Press International, the world’s largest and #1 rated printing #franchise, is proud to celebrate the growth and accomplishments of its franchise owners. Over the past few years, some of our new Minuteman Press International President’s Club members have been featured for their various accomplishments. We caught up with a few of these owners to congratulate them on joining the President’s Club for achieving over $1 million in gross sales for the year ending 2023. They shared what this milestone means to them, how they grew their business, and what advice they have for other business owners. Positive Work Environment - Diana Renollet, East Indianapolis, IN: “We are also very proud that we can provide good jobs for our employees; we have a positive #workplaceculture and it feels like a good place to spend the day working." Keys to Growth - Elle & Richie Moore, Macon, GA: “We moved into a much larger facility and I think being able to give tours to our customers and show them what it is we are capable of doing has been a big driver for us this last year. And of course, #networking! I am the President of the BNI Macon Money Chapter and that too has been growing exponentially this last year. If you build relationships with your customers, the money will come.” Rewards of Owning a Business - Ramon Alvarez, Colorado Springs, CO: “Alana and I met at work 32 years ago and now we are enjoying it again! For years, after Alana stopped working, I would head out to ‘slay the dragon’ weekly, and return to provide my #family with my ‘leftover’ energy. Now we are working together towards a common goal, and it’s priceless! Our two sons have worked for us off and on at Minuteman Press, and we are grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to provide them with a place to make some extra money, while spending time with them. Professionally, I’m grateful that every minute that I may spend on our business, is directly impacting our personal and professional #brand. It’s not always easy owning your own business, but the rewards are immense.” Joining the President's Club - Angila Allen, Brookfield, WI: “We feel very blessed to have the wonderful team we have at Minuteman Press in Brookfield as well as the #support of MPIHQ! We don’t take it for granted.” Read the full story at https://lnkd.in/gx3yxEGY

  • In February of 2022, Devin and John Weiss purchased independent print shop Avante Print Center and joined the #MinutemanPress #franchise family. Now operating as Minuteman Press in Mesa, AZ, Devin and John have successfully transformed the #business by continuing to provide outstanding service, investing in the Internet Marketing Program, and expanding their promotional products and apparel lines. Their business is located at 218 West Hampton Avenue, Unit 13, Mesa, AZ 85210. After achieving over $1 million in gross sales for the year ending 2023, Devin and John are two of the newest members of the Minuteman Press International President’s Club. Devin and John recently accepted the award from Nick Titus, President, Minuteman Press International, at the franchisor’s President’s Club Meeting on May 16, 2024. Devin says, “As fairly new owners of our Minuteman Press location in Mesa, this has been our goal since the beginning. It feels great to achieve this milestone but we aren’t stopping here! We definitely want to continue growing and achieve more of our personal goals for the business.” Growing the Business Devin and John highlight the shop’s keys to growth: --“#Customerservice is always the number one driving factor for us. --The Internet Marketing Program has been a tremendous help in growth and #customeracquisition. --Having a dedicated #promotionalproducts specialist has been a key area of growth for us. This was an untapped resource at our shop and has allowed us to bring additional products to our clients and further service their needs.” John continues, “Our highest demand product is digitally printed manuals. Most of what we do is digitally produced in-house. Our biggest growth was definitely in promotional products and #apparel. This is an area we intend to focus attention on growing further.” #Community involvement is also a point of focus that helps Minuteman Press in Mesa build brand awareness and credibility. Devin says, “Many of our clients are also small business owners, and many have been with us for years. This creates a tight community with trust and loyalty, which we continue to strive to support with professionalism and care. As owners, we are active in the local Chamber of Commerce, and support various charitable organizations as well.” Support in a New Industry When describing the support provided by Minuteman Press, the first word that comes to Devin’s mind is simply, “Tremendous!” She elaborates, “We came in as true novices to the world of #print, and the #training was invaluable. Our local support of our Regional VP Jack Panzer and our Field Rep is something we can truly count on and use often. The knowledge we have at our disposal from MPIHQ has helped us many times. They are a valuable resource!” Read more at: https://lnkd.in/e2yw6EVe

  • Taylor Esser Talks #CareerChange From #Finance to #BusinessOwner After Buying 40-Year Business The Ink Spot & Opening #MinutemanPress #Franchise in Quincy, MA https://lnkd.in/eXMVuzFD What made you want to be your own boss? Taylor Esser: “I’ve actually wanted to be a business owner for years. Working in finance was great but I was still being told to do things a certain way and I just felt like I needed to try and realize my own dream instead of working for others. As a single mom with a mortgage, I didn’t have the time to start a new business on my own. I then read a book about entrepreneurship by acquisition and realized that buying an established business was the way to go for me.” Why did you choose Minuteman Press? Taylor Esser: “When I was researching various business models, I knew I needed to have a business that was Monday-Friday with 9-5 hours for my daughter and my own sanity. I was looking at the different businesses for sale and came across The Ink Spot / Minuteman Press on one of the websites. This business was well-established with customers already lined up including big clients like nationally-recognized non-profit organizations, law schools and universities. The price was right and I felt this checked off all of the boxes of what I was looking for when doing my research. Through my conversations with Todd Golberg (Minuteman Press RVP for New England), everything just seemed very doable and the price very reasonable. By this point in my life, I just felt like I was ready. It took me a long time to figure out that if I didn’t make a change, I was always going to be running someone else’s business. I had already gained the confidence I needed to know it was time to trust and bet on myself, and this opportunity as well as some reassurance from Todd made the decision just a little bit easier. I also bought this business because: --Coming from outside the industry, the training and support from Minuteman Press was huge. --The royalty cap is something I never saw with the other franchises I researched. --The staff at my center has been in place for a long time, with an average length of time of 5-10 years. I retained the entire staff and they have all been a huge asset to the business. --FLEX and the Internet marketing program make things easier to manage. It could be a lot harder to run the business without these pieces and the help from Todd and MPIHQ.” Congratulations!

  • US Marine Corp. #Veteran Clinton Neal Buys 115 -Year #Printing #Business Standard Printworks, Opens #MinutemanPress #Franchise in Downtown Spokane, WA Read full story at: https://lnkd.in/eVx9NK8U US Marine Corp. Veteran Clinton Neal is the owner of the Minuteman Press franchise in Downtown Spokane, WA located at 256 West Riverside Avenue. Clint purchased the business in November of 2023, which previously operated as Standard Printworks. With a long history dating back to 1909, Clint was thrilled to buy the long-established print shop with the help of Pacific Northwest Regional VP Chris Jutt and the rest of the team at Minuteman Press International. Clint Neal on buying the business: “Standard Printworks has been around since 1909. I bought the business because: --This is an industry that I thought I could easily wrap my head around. --This #business is an appropriate size to make things work financially. --The business has been around a really long time and I liked the history. --The previous owners had invested regularly into great equipment. --The current employees made it so that I can be an owner and not a front line worker.” Clint on working with Minuteman Press to buy the business: “Minuteman Press International RVP Chris Jutt was great. He did a good job of explaining the process, coordinating things along the way and connecting me with the resources needed to complete the transaction.” Clint on his career background and why he chose Minuteman Press: "I was in the US Marine Corp. (USMC) and then I was a double major in #finance and #accounting. I spent 10 years working in corporate accounting. I decided to own my own business because I felt I could do a better job than most of the owners that I worked with as a corporate accountant. I love being an independent leader and doing my own thing. The top 3 reasons I chose Minuteman Press are: --The #printingindustry is easy to understand. --The Minuteman Press FLEX software makes administration easy. --I get to be creative and solve problems for customers that are trying to get their jobs completed. They just can’t get the help they are looking for at copy centers like FedEx, etc., which is where we come in.” Clint on training and support: “The 2-week onboarding training was great; it was very thorough, easy to understand and supportive. The current employees, previous owners and field rep made the transition smooth and easy. Training the current employees on FLEX took some time and practice but overall it went well. Ongoing support through my field rep and the FLEX/IT support team has been great. They are always friendly, responsive and easy to work with.” Congratulations! #veterans #veteransinbusiness #businessowner #newbusinessowner #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #printingbusiness #smallbusiness
