Antoine's fearless approach and shared vision for making a positive impact on society, especially women's health, have been crucial in our journey together. Now, for the big news: MiraPulse has been selected for the WSL, l'incubateur wallon des sciences de l'ingénieur, a top tech incubator in Wallonia! We'll have the privilege of being mentored by Fabrizio. This is a huge milestone for us, as this guidance will help us advance our tech to tackle severe pelvic pain in women, all while dodging rookie mistakes. Today, I would like to highlight two exceptional individuals who have contributed to the advancement of MiraPulse: Mérédith and Jérôme. These two young students from EPHEC, specializing in Health Technology, chose to complete their final thesis with our team. Their mission was to theoretically develop a medical device for menstrual pain relief, as well as to determine all the necessary preclinical tests for such a device. To be honest, the task we assigned them was very challenging! But they rose to the occasion brilliantly and received the prestigious grade of 16/20. 🎓 Congratulations to the both of you and thank you for allowing us to add a touch of color to your professional journey! ✨

🩸 The Ineffectiveness of Medication for Menstrual Pain 🩸 When women seek relief from menstrual pain, the initial approach often involves contraceptive pills. Should this treatment prove ineffective, alternative supplements such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Ibuprofen or acetaminophen (paracetamol) like Doliprane may be recommended. But how efficient are these solutions? Recent research published in the Journal of Women's Health illuminates the challenges women encounter in managing menstrual pain. The study reveals that 29.3%–35.6% perceived NSAIDs as ineffective, 49.9% feel the same about acetaminophen, and 39.3% for combined oral contraceptive pills. These figures underscore a pressing need for innovative solutions to alleviate menstrual pain. This consensus was reiterated during our recent meeting with the Endometriosis Clinic at Hôpital Erasme - Cliniques Universitaires de Bruxelles. Healthcare specialists are actively seeking groundbreaking solutions to better assist their patients. This is precisely why MiraPulse is collaborating closely with both healthcare specialists and patients to pioneer a groundbreaking solution that promises to revolutionize menstrual pain relief! The atmosphere is electric in the room, and I am the first to step forward; my heart races with excitement. My name echoes, and time seems to pause for a few seconds. I take a deep breath, gather my courage, and dive into what will remain one of my best memories. ✨ Last Friday marked the Pitch XXL, an event showcasing 7 of the most promising startups from the StartLAB.BRUSSELS. What an honor for MiraPulse to have been selected to represent the incubator. Thank you for your trust. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire organizing team, with a special thanks to Lea and Marie, who supported us from start to finish.
