The holiday season is just around the corner! To spread the joyous spirit, some transit agencies roll out beautifully decorated special trains, trams and buses, complete with lights, ornaments, and festive cheer (some even smell of gingerbread!). Chicago Transit Authority's Allstate Holiday Train & Bus that's been running for for over 30 years is one of our favorites, and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) joins the ranks this year adding wrapped trains and a holiday sweater photoshoot into the mix. Have you ever had the chance to ride on one of these magical trains? What's your favorite holiday transit experience? Share your stories! #holidayseason #holidaytrain #wrappedtrain #festive #cheer #seasonsgreetings #holidaycheer #merryandbright #transit https://lnkd.in/gZThjy8 https://lnkd.in/ePC5Xyns

Earlier in October, students and friends of the MIT JTL-Transit Lab went for a fall hike, visiting Rockport and hiking through Manchester’s Powder House Hill Reservation. Despite the chilly weather, the trip was a success, with beautiful autumn scenery and great seashore views. We were also excited to have our lab founder, Nigel Wilson, with us, sharing valuable insights into MIT’s transportation history. Thanks to everyone for making it a great day!
