Celebrating Our Top 10 Achievements of the Year! 🎉 This year was different. We mean different, different. Here is a recap of our incredible milestones and collaborations that highlight our commitment to excellence in the federal contracting community: 1. NCMA MetroMD Launch. One of our biggest accomplishments was outside the business of MMC. A successful launch in March led to more events supporting the growth of over 700 members of our local #GovCon community. Save the date: January 16th at the Westin National Harbor with Shannon Jackson! 2. Secured Two New Clients. Let’s be honest, business is about revenue and profits. We are proud to now support MBDA and HUD, helping small businesses and workforce development – including a partnership with Gallup. 3. JPMorganChase Series. This strategic partnership supports the growth of JP Morgan’s clients and strengthens our commitment to #GovCon innovation and small business growth. 4. International Training. We expanded our global reach to 10 countries with impactful training initiatives in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Kosovo, and Thailand. 5. 8(a) Certification. In addition to being selected for SBA’s business development program, we completed the Bowie Business Innovation Center 8(a) Accelerator program – #LetsGo! 6. 1st Annual Navy Hampton Roads SB Conference. This event provided a great chance to offer thought leadership while advocating for small businesses across the federal industrial base. 7. Minority Business Development Agency - U.S. Department of Commerce. MMC participated in high-level discussions at MBDA’s White House Summit on advancing the future of non-traditional federal suppliers. 8. 8(a) at 8AM. In partnership with The BOW Collective member Granita Griffin, we launched an initiative to support small businesses with essential 8(a) insights. We look forward to partnering with the National 8(a) Association for our first live meetup at their February conference. 9. AFROTECH Conference. As part of the Maryland Collective, MMC represented the DMV in Houston, supported Venture for T.H.E.M.'s HBCUniverse Pitch Competition, and spoke at a Culture House event alongside a dynamic line-up of tech luminaries. 10. G2Xchange/FORUM Impact Women in Leadership. CEO Jennifer Hanks led a panel and was recognized with an award for her contributions to the GovCon community. This list doesn’t include the exciting projects in the works with Fearless, Gallup, Greenberg Traurig, LLP, JPMorganChase, PACE LLC, and others—or the awards and grants received or local efforts to strengthen #GovCon communities in Virginia and Maryland. We believe 2024 was the tipping point, and the best is yet to come. We’re grateful for our team, partners, and supporters who made these achievements possible.
