Moody’s Ratings has published a Net Zero Assessment (NZA) on CLP Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-based electric utility company with power generation assets across Hong Kong SAR, mainland China, Taiwan, Australia, India and Thailand. Our assessment considers the company’s Climate Vision 2050 transition plan, which it updated in 2024. This is our first public NZA for an Asia-Pacific entity. While this will be funded by diverse sources, higher power prices are expected, and government support may increase to ensure affordability. Power companies must balance price rises and capital structures to maintain credit quality. Read our report for more: https://mdy.link/3EBWoBr
