Several of our team members represented SOSi at the inaugural "Salute to Bravery" Gala Dinner in Tampa, where international veterans and military leaders gathered to strengthen support across the NATO Alliance. The event, hosted by Moral Compass Federation's Timothy T., highlighted the critical work of Veteran Coalition International and the Special Operations Warrior Golf Foundation in advocating for wounded warriors and their families. Distinguished guests included USSOCOM Command Team Gen. Bryan Fenton, CSM Shane Shorter, former USSOCOM Commander Gen. (Ret) Tony Thomas, along with HRH Princess Marie of Denmark and Danish Parliament Speaker Søren Gade. Special thanks to our representatives Amy Marden and Glen R. Tito was honored to speak alongside Retired US Marine Ryan Hinley of the Department of Veteran Affairs, the Royal Marines' Matt Churchward, with moderation from Foreign & Security Policy Counselor Jon Worgan. Originally created to assist evacuation efforts in Afghanistan, The Black Feather Foundation is now working to help refugee children transition into their new lives through sports, health, and education. Through these programs, children have opportunities for growth and empowerment. Foundation founder Joseph E. Operation Allies Refuge Foundation (OAR Foundation), a Moral Compass Federation member organization, was founded to unite veterans experiencing issues related to moral injury. Created one year after the Kabul Evacuation, OAR Foundation has become a community of acceptance and connection where veterans can work to heal moral injury through retreats, peer support, and storytelling.
