Yesterday, we came together for the 2nd annual MSU Federal Credit Union's Desk Drawer Foundation Donor Event—a gathering that celebrated community, connection, and a shared commitment to meaningful change. The event underscored the Foundation’s mission: “Partner with donors to empower transformational change to make a sustainable difference in our communities.” A special thank you to our speakers and community partners, Erik Larson, Executive Director of Impression 5 Science Center, and Megyn Forest, MPA, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region. Each shared how transformational grants from the Foundation are amplifying their work in impactful ways—from expanding hands-on science learning at Impression 5 to strengthening youth mentorship at Big Brothers Big Sisters. Since its inception in 2019, the Desk Drawer Foundation has granted over $2.8 million, supporting vital initiatives in arts, entrepreneurship, financial education, stable housing, and youth empowerment.
