My Brother's Keeper

One of our favorite Christmas traditions at My Brother’s Keeper is hosting Trustees, staff, family, and friends from the Yawkey Foundation. They were with us last week, helping select, wrap, and deliver Christmas gifts to local families. Thank you, Yawkey Foundation for all you helped us accomplish in 2024.

What a blessing it is to have incredible neighbors! Thank you to Honey Dew Donuts for generously donating breakfast every day this month. Your kindness has kept our volunteers fueled and in high spirits as they work in Santa's Workshop!

For the second year in a row, New Heights Charter School of Brockton pulled into our parking lot in Easton with a bus full of Christmas toys. Many thanks to the students, faculty, and staff who not only donated the new toys, but also stayed and wrapped gifts with us. What a blessing!

BankFive generously adopted 8 families through our Christmas Assistance Program and gathered with their officers to wrap the gifts. The families we deliver these gifts to will be delighted. Thank you, BankFive!

Our next-door neighbor in Easton, Honey Dew Donuts, is running a promotion on Wednesday, December 18th. On that day, 10% of sales will be donated to My Brother’s Keeper. Thank you, Honey Dew, for this generous opportunity. Please stop by Honey Dew in Easton on the 18th to load up on coffee and goodies.

We did it! We delivered Thanksgiving meals to more than 750 families over the past week and a half. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. In a very special way, we’d like to thank the local business community who sent volunteers to get these Thanksgiving meals in the homes of the families we serve. HarborOne Bank, HarborOne Mortgage, Stop & Shop, Bank of America, Coastal Heritage Bank, AAA Northeast, OOFOS, Johnson & Johnson MedTech, National Grid

Through their Harvest for Hunger campaign, HarborOne Bank employees collected and donated more than 4,000 Thanksgiving food items to My Brother’s Keeper. The families we serve will be so happy to receive all this healthy food. Thank you, HarborOne Bank!

Talk about being on the ball, the Cranberry Country Chamber of Commerce coordinated a kids coat and pajama drive for us this fall. The items they collected will be delivered to the families we serve through our Christmas Assistance Program. Thank you, Pam, Valerie, and all at the Cranberry Country Chamber!

Thank you to our friends at SCU Credit Union who joined us for a morning of service last week. This hardworking crew packed over 50 food deliveries for local families!

"To lead is to serve.” My Brother’s Keeper hosted our 15th annual Board Day of Service last week for our Board of Directors, Easton Development Board, and South Coast Development Board. Our leadership believes serving alongside one another in the community makes us a stronger, more effective and compassionate leadership team.
