A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Kibera Slum, the largest in Africa and the third largest in the world. Here's a small excerpt from the visit.

As I caught up on emails after a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend, I came across an article that gave me pause: "Non-Profit Leaders Have a Competitive Giving Tuesday Ahead." It troubled me to think that giving and helping others has become a competitive pursuit. To me, giving back to our world is a fundamental act of kindness, and choosing where to give should be a personal decision, free from competition. I'd much rather focus on the positive impact of giving, like the article "Five Reasons Why Giving Makes You Happier." It reminds us that giving can bring joy and fulfillment to both the giver and receiver. So, I encourage you to spread kindness today, regardless of how you choose to do it. Write a note of encouragement, volunteer your time, or simply take a moment to reflect on the good things in your life. And don't forget to track your happiness 😀. If you already have or you're considering supporting the N50 Project, we're grateful for your trust. We're committed to using your donations efficiently and responsibly, ensuring they make the greatest possible impact in providing digital access to communities worldwide. Should you desire, here are some ways you can support the N50 Project: Donate: You can donate using the link below or through a corporate giving site like Benevity. Become an N50 Advocate member: If your company is interested, please email erin@n50project.org Volunteer: We're mobilizing over 1 million member employees for 2025. Email erin@n50project.org to join our volunteer list. Thank you for your kindness and generosity and thank you to our 220+ partners who make this project possible. I appreciate you, Dan
