🔧 Optimising Power-2-Gas Investments: Free Decision-Support Tool for Stakeholders The University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, in collaboration with the Jožef Stefan Institut, Energy Efficiency Centre, is enhancing an optimisation tool within NACHIP for power-2-gas (P2G) hubs. This tool helps investors evaluate the optimal processes and operational strategies for P2G investments over a full-year timeframe. ✨The North Adriatic Clean Hydrogen Investment Platform (NACHIP) has officially launched on 24th and 25th September 2024 in Rijeka. 🌍 Backed by a €7.6 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund, NACHIP will support the scale-up of clean hydrogen technologies and the development of new value chains in manufacturing, urban areas, and mobility. This initiative will provide up to 18 SMEs with grants of €60,000 each to join a two-tier acceleration program. These SMEs will be integrated into five pilot projects aimed at developing innovative hydrogen-based solutions, from wave energy hydrogen production to cost-efficient hydrogen transportation. Led by Jožef Stefan Institute, NACHIP aims to drive cross-border collaboration, boost regional innovation, and strengthen the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley’s position in the clean energy transition. 🚀 The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV) Consortium marked its one-year milestone with a successful meeting in Rijeka on September 23rd and 24th, 2024! 🎉 Delegates from the 37 project partners spanning Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy gathered to review the progress of key hydrogen projects and align their strategies for a sustainable future. Key highlights: ✅ 17 industrial testbed projects are advancing across the region, focusing on hydrogen production, storage, transmission, and usage—driving forward decarbonization and renewable hydrogen adoption. ✅ Welcoming a new partner: Municipality of Cres, which is set to continue the development of hydrogen infrastructure for the Cres-Lošinj archipelago. ✅ Education and training initiatives were highlighted, with universities from Rijeka, Ljubljana, and Trieste working on interdisciplinary programs to train future professionals in hydrogen technologies. Vocational training programs, supported by national ministries, are being developed with a focus on reskilling and upskilling.  ✅ Launch of the North Adriatic Clean Hydrogen Investment Platform (NACHIP), offering opportunities for up to 18 SMEs to integrate into the region's growing hydrogen value chains.
