The National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) believes the best management of any patient with cancer is a clinical trial, but the idea of enrolling in a clinical trial may seem daunting. In this video, hear why Julio Piña, a patient with anaplastic ependymoma, and his wife Liz enrolled in a trial and what the process looked like. 🍪 On National Cookie Day, we look to those who are "baking" a difference for the brain tumor community and fundraising for NBTS. Eleven-year-old Lauren P. and her brother Ben raise money for NBTS in memory of their grandfather, Doug, by hosting their annual “Baking Away Brain Tumors” bake sale — cookies included! The money raised goes toward their Wisconsin Brain Tumor Walk & Race fundraising efforts. Kathy S. sells Bake Like Rach sprinkle cookies in memory of her daughter, Rachel, who passed away from glioblastoma. The proceeds benefit NBTS as part of Kathy’s Race for Hope DC fundraising. Happy #NationalCookieDay! If you’re interested in hosting your own cookie or baking fundraiser, reach out to CommunityEvents@braintumor.org to get started.
