Book bans are increasing, with legislation making it easier to remove titles quickly. Educators, stay resilient. Keep advocating for students' access to diverse ideas. #FreedomToRead #HistoryEducation 🔗 https://ow.ly/7XRs50TIpGR

History educators at our recent EDGE Saturday Seminar gained practical, engaging insights for classrooms! Just to name a few key takeaways: ✨ Cultivating Civic Virtue: Weekly highlights of virtues like respect & responsibility build collaborative class culture. Students see their actions’ impact on a larger scale. 🕊️ ✨ Primary Source Inquiry: Use primary sources as “detective work” to encourage critical thinking. Younger students get guiding Questions; older ones dive deeper into context & bias. 🔍 ✨ Connecting History & Today: Historical debates, like federal vs. state power, connect past to present issues. Students grasp history’s relevance. Empowering students to understand history’s impact! #TeachHistory #EDGE
