While there is still much work to do, #CCBHCs are eliminating barriers to access for people in hundreds of communities, according to our new 2024 #CCBHC Impact Report. Read more from Charles Ingoglia about the report's findings: https://bit.ly/3RCrpZC
Our nation has ignored mental health and substance use challenges for far too long. Gaping holes remain because lawmakers have continued to ignore the needs of people and communities. But now we have a model of care that can fill those holes. #CCBHCs serve anyone who walks through the door, regardless of ability to pay. These clinics are eligible to receive flexible funding to expand the scope of mental health and substance use services in their community.
CCBHCs Now Serve 3 Million People. It’s Just the Start.

Join us as we honor #Juneteenth by reaffirming our pledge to help create a more equitable world, one where mental wellbeing – including recovery from substance use challenges – is a reality for everyone, everywhere.
Today, we commemorate the effective end of slavery in the U.S., #Juneteenth—short for June 19th—while acknowledging that inequities still exist today. At HHS, we work to further equity, because the right to a heathy life is still out of reach for too many Black Americans.

Earlier this week, National Council members joined allies from other organizations to advocate on behalf of legislation to expand Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (#CCBHCs), support comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment and care, overcome the workforce shortage, improve crisis care and support the #988Lifeline. As the first in-person Hill Day since 2019, the event was an incredible reminder of the passion of our advocates and the work we can accomplish, together.

For our 20th annual #HillDay, leaders from hundreds of organizations met with lawmakers yesterday to urge them to take action on a handful of crucial bills to improve access to mental health and substance use care and to bolster a workforce in desperate need of resources. We are grateful to our members and other advocates who joined us on Capitol Hill and who continue to help us ensure recovery can be possible for all. https://bit.ly/4aV2ZBo
