Help us welcome Dan Vosnos to the NDSS team! 🎉 Dan is the Senior Director of Development at NDSS, where he leads and supports the organization's development efforts, focusing on bringing individuals, foundations, corporations, and nonprofits together in partnership. His involvement in the Down syndrome community began as an impact leader and advocate after the birth of his son, Ellis, who has Down syndrome. Before taking on roles in the nonprofit sector, Dan served as a High School Administrator and Athletic Director in Chicagoland for over twenty years. He graduated holds a Bachelor of Arts in History/Secondary Education from Illinois Wesleyan University. Welcome aboard, Dan! We're excited to have you on the team! 💛💙

💙 Meet Joel! Joel is 'J Positive', a gifted artist, and a young man with Down syndrome. He launched his online business as a way to help overcome some of his mental health challenges resulting from Covid isolation. Joel has developed his unique artistic style over many years, and is now selling his joyous designs on clothing, art, and accessories. 💛 He says, "My nickname is 'J Positive' because I am a positive person. It makes me feel very good when people like my art." 10% of proceeds are donated to organizations supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
