Strong small businesses help create strong communities. Perhaps no one knows that better than Shalonda Pettis, DMSc, MMSc, PA-C, CHC, owner of Elite Wellness Solutions in Atlanta. Shalonda opened her business after seeing members of her community being impacted by preventable illnesses. It grew — fast. She soon found herself needing more people, space, and equipment, and with those, funding. That’s when she found Nav. We’re proud to be part of her growth story 💜

As part of our belonging initiatives, we were honored to hear from three accomplished women on their personal experiences in different walks of business. Our panelists come from a rich set of backgrounds, and brought diverse perspectives to the question of how women can advocate for themselves and others in the workplace. All in all, it served as a welcome reminder that although we have come far, there is still much work to be done. As our founder and CEO Levi King put it: Until we see 50% of world leaders, Fortune 1000 CEOs, judges, non-profit CEOs, venture-backed entrepreneurs, board members, executives, engineers, and all other critical roles in society filled by women, we have work to do. Panelists from the top: Tahira DeVine- Nimmons is the Founder and CEO of WIFE. MOTHER. DIVA®, where she coaches female business owners Jennifer Miller-Wolf (moderator) is our Head of Customer Research at Nav Emily Millheim is a Senior Funding Manager at Nav, as well as owner of Emily Marie Glass

According to a recent Nav study, 56% of small businesses feel they spend too much time researching funding options. According to another, the average business owner spends 26 hours researching and applying for funds. We’ve partnered with Fundbox to change that. Business owners can now see if they are pre-approved for funding with Fundbox based on their Nav business profile. All they need to do to receive a credit decision is confirm their information and submit their application. We’re excited to be offering new ways to increase access to capital for the small businesses who need it the most! Read more about the partnership: https://lnkd.in/ePzwDK-Z
