The mission of the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers (NC AHEC) Program is to provide and support educational activities and services with a focus on primary care in rural communities and those with less access to resources to recruit, train, and retain the workforce needed to create a healthy North Carolina. We envision a state where every North Carolinian is healthy and supported by an appropriate and well-trained health workforce that reflects the communities it serves.

  • NC AHEC is pleased to offer two self-paced webinars related to quality improvement with diabetes care in primary care practices, presented by Northwest AHEC: ❖ Diabetes Performance Improvement in Primary Care -- Enduring With Dr. Eugene Wright presenting, you'll explore barriers and facilitators to promote patient engagement in treatment, and discover performance improvement methods which promote health among patients with diabetes. The first 100 registrations will be at no charge, supported by Division of Health Benefits grant funding.
