We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dravet Syndrome Foundation Spain for their incredible support during this weekend's strategic retreat in Burgos, Spain. As part of the event, we had the privilege of conducting our “Insights into Action” workshop, where we met with dedicated families and caregivers to discuss and gather feedback on our user-centered design approach for developing the first predictive medical device for #SUDEP. Their invaluable insights and experiences continue to guide and inspire our work. A special thanks to all the parents who shared their perspectives, allowing us to align our design efforts with what truly matters to those living with epilepsy every day. 🌟 Designing with Purpose: Workshop on SUDEP Prediction and Prevention with Fundación Dravet Families 🌟 We’re honored to represent NEUROSENSE at El Encuentro de Familias organized by Dravet Syndrome Foundation Spain at CREER in Burgos. Huge thanks to José Ángel Aibar and the Fundación Síndrome de Dravet for inviting us to engage directly with families and caregivers, strengthening our commitment to patient-centered solutions for #SUDEP prediction and prevention. Tomorrow, Miguel França and João Ferreira will lead our workshop, “Insights into Action,” which focuses on gathering feedback on the medical device models we’ve designed. This model development has been a collaborative effort, shaped by insights from our initial workshop — published in Epilepsia Open ( https://lnkd.in/dftZiJS5 ) — and brought to life with the expertise of our dedicated design team at BIOSTRIKE, Mariana Regalo, Lígia Lopes and Ricardo Peixoto. Their work has been pivotal in creating models that respond to real patient and caregiver needs, underscoring the NEUROSENSE commitment to designing with purpose. In recognition of SUDEP Action Day 2024, the NEUROSENSE_EU Project is excited to share an inspiring video featuring Prof. Sándor Beniczky , Head of Clinical Neurophysiology at the Filadelfia Epilepsihospital og sociale tilbud and a leading figure in NEUROSENSE_EU. What an inspiring conclusion to the 3rd NEUROSENSE Summit at the Filadelfia Epilepsy Centre in Denmark! We’ve made significant progress in our journey toward developing the first predictive medical device for SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). A special highlight was visiting the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, where Sándor Beniczky and Sidsel Armand Larsen guided us through the patient journey, offering valuable insights into the daily challenges faced by people with epilepsy. This meeting was a critical opportunity to align our next steps and keep the project moving forward with a strong focus on patient needs and care.
