I was proud to join Randy Miller, Steve Antonini, Naomi Duerr, Rob Ghiglieri, and Javad Sattarvand for a great round table discussion about Mining in Nevada with the Nevada Business Magazine. We chatted about the twenty different minerals being mined in Nevada today, the importance of our industry to the state economy as well as the need to better tell our industry's incredible story to attract the workforce of tomorrow. Preparations are underway for America’s 250th birthday in 2026! Here in Nevada, Governor Joe Lombardo has spearheaded America250Nevada.org, which includes a special commission he announced recently at a press conference. It is truly an honor to represent the Nevada Mining Association as part of the Governor’s Commission as preparations are made for celebrations all across #Nevada. We will have the opportunity to celebrate the #mining industry’s rich heritage as well as the important role it will play in our state and country’s future. I’m looking forward to working with Brenda Scolari , Director of the Nevada Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, as we strive to make our 250th birthday memorable and fun for all Nevadans.
