Working together we can solve hunger.
About us
The New Hampshire Food Bank serves as the only food bank in the state, working to provide nutritious food and resources to the hundreds of thousands of New Hampshire residents that are food insecure. The Food Bank supplies millions of pounds of food annually to more than 400 partner agencies, including food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, children’s programs, senior centers and more. In turn, these agencies provide hunger relief to those suffering from food insecurity throughout the state. While continuing to distribute nutritious food throughout the state to our partner agencies that help our neighbors in need, the New Hampshire Food Bank has evolved as an organization. Over the years, we have worked towards finding ways to fight the root causes of hunger through innovative programming aimed at empowering people to learn new skills, enabling them to become more self-sufficient and improve their quality of life.

Last month, Sant Bani School invited us to attend an event which was the culmination of their Empty Bowls project – which included them handmaking bowls, soup and informational placemats about the NH Food Bank and food insecurity in NH to share with their peers. Sant Bani middle schoolers spent the fall learning about the NH Food Bank and the work we do as well as about food insecurity in NH. They traveled to the Food Bank in Manchester, where they toured our facilities and volunteered with us as well! We were so impressed by their thoughtful curiosity and willingness to learn, and even more so by their willingness to share what they learned with fellow Sant Bani students in grades 3-5! We’re so grateful to Sant Bani for welcoming us and want to congratulate their students on such a fantastic event. In addition to the impact of spreading awareness, they raised $215 to help our neighbors in need experiencing hunger – equal to approximately 336 meals! Photo by: Sant Bani School

Sending a big thanks to M&T Bank who joined us here in Manchester, just before Thanksgiving, to make the holiday a little brighter for families experiencing hunger. M&T Bank donated 50 turkeys (and the aluminum pans to cook them in) and a variety of fixings to make Thanksgiving packages that were distributed to local families through the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH – partner agencies of the NH Food Bank. A team of M&T volunteers, including Regional President, Tim Wade, who was joined by Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais, Boys and Girls Club of Manchester CEO, Diane Fitzpatrick and Catholic Charities New Hampshire's President and CEO, Tom Blonski assembled the bags, which included canned veggies, cranberry, stuffing, gravy, dessert and more! We’re incredibly grateful to M&T Bank for their continued and generous support of the NH Food Bank and their commitment to NH communities.
