The Friendliest Store in Town

About us

New Seasons Market is a friendly neighborhood grocery store that believes great-tasting, local food has the power to build community and enhance lives. From taking care of our staff, partners, neighborhoods and the environment, to growing a sustainable and profitable business, we’re doing what we love with a commitment to cultivating a strong community centered around good food. We were the first grocer to achieve a B Corp certification, exceeding rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. Founded in 2000 by three families and 50 friends in Portland, OR, we’re now a team of nearly 3,000 passionate staff across 21 stores in Oregon and SW Washington—serving a unique mix of locally sourced and organic items, classic grocery favorites, and chef-made grab and go meal solutions. Our mission is to be the ultimate neighborhood store. We focus on building and nourishing the communities we serve, creating lasting relationships with our customers, staff and vendors. We’re proud of our progressive values— from offering industry-leading compensation and benefits, to committing 10 percent of our after-tax profits to the communities we serve. We buy from as many local producers as possible, connecting them with our customers and doing our part to champion the regional food economy. At the same time, we operate in a financially responsible way, and do our best to inspire environmental stewardship. Come join us and see why we’re a different kind of grocery store.

Welcome back to your freshly reimagined Fisher’s Landing New Seasons Market Such incredible work from our store development, merchandising, marketing and store leadership teams. A grocery store under a remodel is always a bit disruptive to our customers and staff, the Fisher’s Landing team never missed a beat and continued to operate as the “friendliest store in town” the last few months while our contractors, fabricators, architects and designers brought this store from our “legacy” decor package into our newest store design concept. While the store received fresh paint, murals from local artists, new venues and more. What hasn’t changed is our unwavering commitment to delivering quality and ethically sourced products and great service and values for our community and customers. #groceryretail #retailmarketing #customerobsessed #local #bcorp #retaildesign #marketingleadership

  • 🍁 It’s that time of the year! Here at New Seasons Market, we're excited to welcome the holidays with one of our favorite annual fundraisers, Donate Dinner! 🥧 Now through Nov. 27, as you shop for your festive feasts, you have the chance to make a donation that will not just provide nourishment, but also joy and companionship to homebound seniors through our wonderful partners at Meals on Wheels People, Lake Oswego Meals on Wheels and Milwaukie Community Center Meals on Wheels. 🌟 Last year, thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised $287,000! That equals 41,000 meals for our senior neighbors throughout the Portland-metro and SW Washington areas. This year, our goal is big, but entirely reachable: $300,000. Can we count on you to help us achieve it? Every donation, large or small, makes a tangible difference in someone's life. So, let’s make this season count more than ever! 🌟

  • We're excited to collaborate with Organically Grown Company under the Pacific Coast Food Waste Commitment to tackle food loss and waste in our supply chain, this time focusing on plums. As a proud PCFWC signatory, we're committed to finding innovative solutions to minimize waste. Results coming in early 2025 will guide us towards enhancing efficiency and supporting our local economy. Stay tuned! 💚

A huge thank you to PCFWC signatories New Seasons Market and Organically Grown Company for their collaboration to understand #FoodLossAndWaste along the value chain for stone fruits, plums specifically. This is project akin to prior Whole Chain projects conducted by fellow signatories to the PCFWC. What makes this project unique is a focus on a regional value chain and understanding how that differs from a national value chain. We look forward to sharing the findings in early 2025. #SupplyChain #FoodWaste

When 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 throws a party, you don't just show up – 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵… Ocean Beauty Seafoods oysters and 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 bubbles, 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘦!   We were thrilled to sponsor the The James Beard Foundation’s 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮: 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 event 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. Our excitement was only heightened by our partnership with 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗳 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗱 of 𝗖𝗼𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲, who creatively showcased our oysters by adding a scrumptious spin on this briny, sustainably harvested treat. And, not only did the oysters pair well with our very own New Seasons Market Brut Rosé, but also the refreshing – and responsibly sourced – 𝘏20, which was donated by Proud Source Water. For those looking for a crunchy palate cleanser, we proudly served our very own locally produced 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 Bar Nuts and Dilly Almonds, which are crafted by the one and only ALBINA CITY NUTS, LLC. 𝗕𝗢𝗡𝗨𝗦: we were joined by Anthony Myint of Zero Foodprint as we together discussed our 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 (the current application period is closed, but click here to find out more: zerofoodprint.org/apply)! And, because - when you shop with us - 𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙, we want it to be easy to find 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 options that benefit you, our local producers, our community and the planet. • “I started cooking to not talk to people.” - How Anthony Myint opened his TED Conferences Talk in June 2024 😂🤣😆 🌱 Yet here he is, engaging us all in a critical conversation on sustainability. Anthony and Zero Foodprint are true pioneers in the movement for regenerative agriculture, and this powerful message resonates deeply with our values at New Seasons Market. • Today, we take tremendous pride in shining a spotlight on the vibrant traditions and rich cultural tapestry that our Hispanic and Latino colleagues bring into our community. We're delighted to share a special message from New Seasons Market Human Resource Manager - Bilingual, Maria Lopez: Hispanic Heritage Month is month-long observance, Sept. 15th through Oct. 15th, that aims to shine a light on the contributions of Americans tracing their roots to Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Spanish-speaking nations of the Caribbean. We recognize that experiences are not monoliths, and that the cultures being uplifted during this month are diverse and rich in their own rights. Each community may also have their own culturally specific terms that speak to their unique heritage.   As we commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re excited to share some conversations with our friends Nikki Guerrero of Portland favorite Hot Mama's Salsa and New Seasons Market community partner and Mission Advisory Council member Adelante Mujeres. Please check back to explore more about their collective journeys!
