This week, we participated in a panel discussion on the topic of knowledge agency, hosted by the Danish Network for Architecture and Urbanism Research (DARE). Our main point emphasized that the knowledge we hold is constrained by the systems in which we work. To address this, we need to strengthen the connections between different systems and disciplines. This is precisely why initiatives like New Urban Voices are so important.

We are so thrilled that so many new urban voices took part in our launch on october 7 - world architecture day. It was an intense atmosphere! After a presentation of the overall vision and the ideas behind New Urban Voices we gave the mic to the participants to hear how we can enable change in the future as a community and a platform for co-creation. This is something we will work with on future sessions. We then began the evenings three presentations with a talk from the curators for the danish pavillon for the 20th architecture biennale 2027 with a presentation from Kristian Ly Serena from dominique+serena with new approaches to the single family home, and how we can rethink future living within the planetary boundaries. We got insights from the multidisciplinary world of Behave Green, with a presentation from Ida Adamsen who showcased how qualitative methods provide key insights to how behavioral change can be a key driver in a sustainable future. And we finished with a view into the possible futures of car-free(dom) in a Copenhagen perspective from Robert Joseph Martin from Beta Mobility, and how AI can be a tool for providing valuable knowledge in tracking the immense presence of cars in our cities. Thanks to everyone who participated! We will soon update with upcoming events so stay tuned. In the meantime, sign up for free at www.newurbanvoices.org

New Urban Voices reposted this
Interdisciplinarity, internationalization, high quality, and critical thinking are some of the elements to include in the built environment sector in Denmark. These were conclusions and topics for discussion we had yesterday at the New Urban Voices network launch. Many things are going great, but many others need a thorough change. We are here to make it happen! We are organizing the professional sector! Thank you so much Rasmus Koustrup Larsen and Mathias Nordby for the organization and facilitation of the event. #UrbanPlanning #Mobility #UrbanDevelopment #København

Yesterday was the first official gathering of New Urban Voices! We are so excited! Thanks to everyone who showed up and brought so many great thoughts and ideas into our new network 🌱 We are working hard on new initiatives - Stay tuned! You can join the initiative at https://lnkd.in/dfKPC72N
It's been a long time coming... And we have been looking forward to launching our project! Therefore, it was a real pleasure to host the first meeting of New Urban Voices yesterday. It was enormously enriching to feel that energy and desire to contribute and be part of the network. There is an energy and pioneering spirit which is inspiring, and once again underlines the need for a new platform! Now we start processing the many good inputs and change gears because there are so many good ideas that must now be converted into new initiatives. We look forward to that! If you haven't signed up yet you can do so at https://lnkd.in/dRSYFPWf - It's still free and anyone working or studying in the built environment with a desire to change the industry can join. If you have questions or want to talk cooperation, we can be contacted at hello@newurbanvoices.org The picture shows a very relaxed Mathias Nordby - It must be because of the good company and turnout yesterday ☀
