I had a great time as a panelist on the main stage at #glassbuild to talk about high performance glazing and #BIPV. While there are no shortage of challenges getting new technologies into the glazing market, there is a path forward and there are bright people working on the solutions! OPVs use carbon-based (organic) semiconductors made from abundant, less toxic materials compared to traditional solar panels. They convert light in the infrared and ultraviolet spectrum into energy while remaining transparent to visible light. No other solar semiconductors can do this!
