  • In memory of Ron Niven our founder, passionate leader, and creator of our employee-owned organization. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved founder, Ron Niven. His vision, passion, and dedication have left an indelible mark on all of us. Ron’s legacy will continue to inspire and guide for generations to come. Forty-six years ago, Ron started our company with a vision—to elevate the retail experience, collaborate with talented people, and innovate something truly meaningful. Along the way, he ensured we never lost sight of the importance of having fun. For those fortunate enough to be part of his journey, he was far more than a boss; he was a mentor, a leader, and a true friend. Our Chairman of the Board, Don Hubbard beautifully captured Ron’s essence: "I feel privileged to have known Ron as a passionate leader and mentor. His values are still woven into the fabric of our culture. When Ron retired in 2004, his succession plan transitioned us to an employee-owned company—a testament to his commitment to giving back to those who helped make his dreams a reality. Years later, when Ron visited our facility with his wife and daughter, he was visibly moved by what the company had become. Together, they beamed with pride, witnessing the thriving, sustainable, and industry-leading organization he had envisioned—built on the foundation of good people and shared values." Today, we celebrate Ron’s incredible life and the enduring legacy he left behind. His vision continues to inspire everything we do, and we are deeply grateful for the foundation he built—a company rooted in care, collaboration, and excellence.   • Last week, we had a fantastic time attending CES, where cutting-edge technology and innovation take center stage. It reminded us of a project that embodies these very principles—our 2006 partnership with Nintendo Wii. 🎮 We had the incredible opportunity to design a merchandising system for the most exciting new gaming platform launched to date at that time. 🎮 To heighten excitement around the highly anticipated launch, we integrated a countdown clock into the display. This innovative feature built anticipation and announced to consumers when the product would hit the shelves. ⏳ The display was crafted with modular components, allowing it to adapt seamlessly to a wide range of retailers and in-store placements—a testament to our commitment to flexibility and functionality. This project was a proud milestone in Niven’s legacy of pioneering retail design solutions. It’s projects like these that remind us why we love what we do—creating engaging, consumer-focused experiences that elevate brands.     As fall comes to a close and the holiday season begins, we’re reminded of the importance of giving back to our community. Each year at Niven, we proudly partner with The Humanitarian Service Project (HSP) to support their mission through a company-wide school supply drive. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our team, we were able to contribute to HSP's efforts in providing brand-new school supplies to 300+ children in need, from preschoolers to high school seniors. But our commitment doesn’t stop there—giving back is part of the Niven spirit year-round. Whether it’s supporting education, spreading holiday cheer, or strengthening the communities where we live and work, we’re honored to make a difference together. It was a game-changer for the home center channel and a pivotal moment in Niven’s journey of pushing the boundaries in retail design.
