At 100 years old, Ms. Hutchinson's determination and strength are truly inspiring! Following her severe anemia and subsequent partial gastrectomy, her devoted family recognized the importance of rehabilitation in her journey toward regaining strength to return to her home. Ms. Hutchinson's primary therapy team of John Wong, OT, Mychal Leaupepe, PTA, and Michelle Haney, PT, provided expert rehabilitation services, and she progressed from walking just 25 feet with assistance to over 150 feet with her walker. She was so happy to regain her independence and return to her assisted living apartment, stronger than ever! Her journey is a testament to the power of inpatient medical rehab and Ms. Hutchinson's unwavering perseverance. #PatientSuccess #ReunionPeoria #MedicalRehab

It's Memory Monday! Today, we remember Greg, who suffered a heart attack while driving home from a Cincinnati Bengals game. Luckily, his firefighter son was in the passenger's seat and began CPR. Greg arrived at Cincinnati Rehab Hospital after an acute hospital stay. He was suffering from weakness after being on a ventilator for 45 days. His main goals were to improve his independence and ability to walk. After his rehab therapy, he's achieving his goals. His physical therapist said, "He has been through a lot, but he does not give up."
