The Massachusetts Apprenticeship Council is ready for #NationalApprenticeshipWeek!
The Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (NAMC) started as an initiative among four workforce investment board directors to form a partnership among industry, academia, and workforce development established to promote sustained support for manufacturing within the Northeast of Massachusetts. NAMC works to develop the regional workforce pipeline that will provide the skilled employees necessary for advanced manufacturing to remain globally competitive, long into the future. To this end, the consortium leverages a wealth of local, state, and national resources, which include the Advanced Manufacturing Training Expansion Program (AMTEP), virtual training, educational resources, and apprenticeships. We also provide a forum for sharing information and ideas that serve to support the workforce needs of Massachusetts employers in the manufacturing industry. There is no cost to join, and your level of involvement is up to you.

The 2024 North Eastern Manufacturing Resource Expo was an amazing opportunity for CommCorp to engage with Massachusetts manufacturers. Our Director of Workforce Competitiveness Training Fund, Adam Cutler, connected with local businesses and organizations at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School. The event, hosted by the MassHire North Shore Workforce Board/ MASSHIRE- North Shore Career Center, showcased key resources for manufacturers, including training pipelines, state grant funding, apprenticeships, and community support. We’re grateful to the Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium (NAMC) and MassHire Metro North Workforce Board for their partnership in organizing this event. It was inspiring to see so many organizations come together to support the region's manufacturing workforce. Looking forward to more collaboration in the future!
