Another Feast-In-A-Box in the books! As always, we extend our deepest gratitude to the countless donors, volunteers, and staff who came together to make this happen. Trying to give 500 families the staples they need for a great Thanksgiving dinner is no small task, so we thank each and every one of you who came out to support us and our neighbors! Volunteer ON-LINE Sign-Up for 2024 nOURish "FEAST IN A BOX" Open Now! Calling all nOURish BRIDGEPORT Volunteers! It's that time of year again – nOURish's FEAST IN A BOX is back! This is our annual Thanksgiving distribution of everything for 400 families from our FOOD PANTRY to cook a turkey dinner at their own home – right in our Parking Lot. This year’s FEAST in a BOX is Saturday, November 23rd. This year, we've made signing up to volunteer for FEAST IN A BOX easier than ever! We've organized our volunteer opportunities by category and shift, giving you more flexibility in choosing when and how you'd like to help. We have options from 9:00 – 4:00 pm – two hours each. EACH CATEGORY AND EACH SHIFT is important to making the FEAST a success. Here's how to sign up: 1.Visit our volunteer sign-up sheet: volunteersignup.org/AHKTQ 2.Follow the instructions on the page to choose your preferred volunteer slot. 3.Please note: Space is limited, and slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Some have already been filled. 4.We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing guests who haven't signed up due to safety limitations. 5.We will then email you a confirmation with instructions of your assignment, parking etc. As you know, nOURish BRIDGEPORT relies on the incredible support of volunteers to make our programs run. FEAST IN A BOX: a nOURish BRIDGEPORT tradition wherein we aim to provide 500 of our neighbors and their families with all of the fixings they need to cook and enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner in the comfort of their own home. And we really mean ALL of the fixings. We give them: Turkey Foil pan Fresh Produce Corn Green beans Potatoes Sweet Potatoes Stuffing Gravy Bread Pie It takes $100 each to put these boxes together. All of these items don't just give our neighbors a holiday to remember, they give them leftovers that will ease their minds for days after.
