    Masters at University of Pittsburgh

🚀 This weekend was a whirlwind of innovation at the Nucleate Pittsburgh! Our team worked non-stop to tackle an exciting challenge: advancing computational protein engineering. Our goal : To develop and benchmark in silico prediction methods using open-source data, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in protein engineering. The 3-day hackathon included from brainstorming sessions to intense coding sprints, every moment was a learning experience. A huge thanks to our teammates Lakshita Arunkumar, Sanika Kamath, Dr Shreya Yadav and our mentor Chase Armer for their collaboration, and to the event organizers for bringing us all together to solve real-world problems in computational biology. Here’s to many more groundbreaking projects like this one! 💻🔬💡#Hackathon #ProteinEngineering #InSilico #OpenSource #ComputationalBiology #BioHack2024 #Nucleate Photo Credit : Julia Sun 🦩

Congratulations to Nucleate Pittsburgh and the amazing talent that came together to innovate with AI around healthcare. It was an impressive 1st Hackathon. Jake Kastroll, Thomas Tam & Jude Baroudi and the full team ran an amazing program. We're thankful for the opportunity to meet, mentor and challenge those who participated. Looking forward to the next one! Special shout-out to Jules Udahemuka and team who took home the Patent Safety Technology Challenge prize. We're looking forward to continuing our support to 2 of the teams who worked on quantifying uncertainty in AI and data performance drift.
