Since its founding in 2000, NW Natural has been partners with Lan Su Chinese Garden – in fact, we donated the land for the garden on a long-term lease. That relationship continues to this day, as we recently hosted Lan Su’s volunteer recognition event. We’re proud to support this cornerstone of downtown Portland.

We were honored to host the Write Around Portland Winter Reading & Book Release Event, celebrating writers in adult and youth creative writing programs. Our employees gave big in a clothing drive for Bloomin’ Boutique, assisting children in need according to their unique circumstances. The first Saturday of December in Clark County marks a special occasion: The annual Walk & Knock Local Food Drive, collecting food and donations to benefit residents through the Clark County Food Bank. Part of this tradition is NW Natural’s sponsorship of the event breakfast, cooking for 100 volunteer group leaders before they head out and work with volunteer walkers to collect donations for neighbors in need.
Our South Coast Construction crew got in the holiday spirit by helping Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club get ready for the 2024 Festival of Trees! These festive firs are decorated by local businesses and auctioned to benefit Gift of Literacy, Kid’s HOPE Center, Shelter Box and the Coos Rotary Foundation.
