This past week, New Wave Energy was proud to participate in Association of Towns’s Annual Meeting & Training School at Marriott Marquis in New York City. We had a great time connecting with hundreds of officials from across New York State and sharing how our Municipal Energy Management Program (MEMP) can benefit your local municipality. Good to join New York Association of Towns Annual Meeting in NYC. My office has a close partnership with local leaders and town officials. Their hard work keeps our town governments running smoothly and provides essential services for their residents. I discussed the state budget, pension funding and importance of financial accountability.

The Association of Towns conference was a terrific opportunity to learn and network, as always. Dave and I attended sessions on incentive zoning, municipal code enforcement, housing affordability, transportation planning, municipal insurance, speed limit reduction, collective bargaining, and more. As an elected town official, I have attended the Association of Towns of the State of New York Training School each year since 2007. I have proudly served as Delegate multiple times, representing our Town of Wappinger. This past week, I had the unique opportunity to second a resolution on the delegation floor supporting emergency medical services as an essential service - with state funding opportunities, in New York State. Over the past nineteen years, I have attended over one hundred hours of training in fiscal oversight and accountability, managing fund balance, financial reporting, code enforcement responsibilities, land use legislation and other important subjects. The knowledge gained during this training conference proves to be valuable when making critical decisions within our town. It is an honor to continue to represent our Town of Wappinger, and attend this unique training opportunity.

What a great few days it has been at the NY Association of Towns Conference! Great to connect with our loyal customers as well as many new faces from agencies across NY. Loguercio Jr. … spend time with the ORANGE COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS VILLAGES & CITIES INC… shout-out to the Newburgh crew who never let me feel left out… my new friends from Chester! The cool new connections at the awards dinner! My AOT bestie from last year and all the amazing business connection that I’m excited to follow-up on. People are AWESOME. Be open to it. Be you.
